Sheffield United are reportedly considering the option of a loan move for Iliman Ndiaye less than half a year after the Senegal forward moved to Marseille from Bramall Lane.
The 23-year-old left the Premier League side for Ligue 1 in the summer for a fee believed to be in the region of £20m.
However, Ndiaye has only scored once since arriving in France and has struggled to nail down a regular starting position under Gennaro Gattuso.
According to the Sun, Marseille could be prepared to part ways with Ndiaye in the New Year, and several Premier League clubs are believed to be considering loan offers to acquire his services.
The report adds that The Blades are among those who are keeping tabs on the situation, while Crystal Palace and Everton are also believed to be keen.
It is also understood that Marseille are eyeing up a potential move for Arsenal attacker Fabio Vieira in the upcoming transfer window.
Ndiaye made his breakthrough during his time at Sheffield United and played a pivotal role in Paul Heckingbottom's team, contributing significantly to their promotion-winning campaign last season.
The Senegalese forward found the back of the net 22 times in 88 appearances for The Blades, notching 14 goals in the Championship as the side finished in second place behind Burnley. body check tags ::
