Greece scored in the final minute to record a 2-1 win over Mexico in their opening match of the Under-20 World Cup.
It was Mexico who started the stronger with Ruben Luna and Antonio Briseno causing problems in the final third, but neither was able to find an attempt on goal.
Greece took the lead with their first real attempt after 19 minutes, however, when Andreas Bouchalakis beat the offside trap before converting from close range after good work from Dimitris Diamantakos.
Mexico continued to dominate possession in the latter stages of the half and were eventually level after 41 minutes when Jonathan Espericueta bent a free kick into the top corner.
Jesus Corona came close to sending Mexico into the lead in the early stages of the second half, but the midfielder could only curl his attempt wide of the target from outside the box.
Corona had another good opportunity to win it late on, but it was Dimitrios Kolovos who won it for Greece in the final minute with a cool finish.
