Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association following Saturday's 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers.
Karanka was sent to the stand after reacting angrily to Blackburn's late equaliser during the match at the Riverside Stadium.
The Spaniard has until 6pm on Friday to respond to the charge.
"It is alleged that his behaviour during stoppage time at the end of the fixture amounted to improper conduct," read a statement on the FA's official website.
Boro continue their Championship campaign on Saturday when they make the trip to London to face Millwall.
