Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka has declared that he is satisfied with his side's league position after a 2-1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers moved them up to third in the Championship.
Although Boro are a point outside of the automatic promotion spots, the Spaniard believes that his team are in a strong position with three matches remaining.
"Today we're on 81 points, so we're very happy with that. I'm very pleased with that," he told reporters.
"We're third with three games to go and this was the aim at the beginning of the season."
Karanka went on to urge his players to maintain their good form and learn from mistakes made in recent defeats at Watford and Bournemouth.
"We have to learn from the last two away games at Watford and Bournemouth and we need to prepare well," he added.
"We made mistakes and we can't make these mistakes if we want to be a Premier League team."
Bro are next in action on Friday evening when they visit promotion rivals Norwich City.
