Aitor Karanka has said that he is "very pleased" with Middlesbrough's 2-0 win over Derby County in the Championship this afternoon.
The Spaniard had to watch his side from the stands while serving a touchline ban, but they were able to clinch the win without him to move to the top of the Championship table.
He told Sky Sports News: "We didn't give them any chance to score and we had I don't know how many chances to score, so I am very pleased. For my players as always but also for my staff, because they deserved a day like today.
"I was not on the bench and they were all week preparing the game. It could have been difficult but I trust them 200%."
Grant Leadbitter and Patrick Bamford scored the goals for the home side, while the Rams had Ryan Shotton sent off.
