Middlesbrough have signed striker David Nugent from Leicester City on a three-year contract.
The 30-year-old joins the Championship side for an undisclosed fee that Boro boss Aitor Karanka described as not "crazy".
"We have worked really hard to bring David to the club and everyone can see that we have not had to spend a crazy amount of money to bring him here," Karanka told the club website.
"It's important to get the right players at the right price."
Nugent appeared in all 46 of Leicester's Championship games when they won promotion in 2014, scoring 20 goals, but started fewer than half of the Foxes' Premier League games last season.
