Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka has hinted that he will allow James Husband to extend his loan spell at Fulham.
The 22-year-old's one-month stint at Craven Cottage came to an end following Friday night's 4-0 win over Queens Park Rangers.
Husband has now been given the green light to return to West London, though, thanks to adequate cover provided by Fernando Amorebieta and George Friend at left-back.
Asked if a fresh deal could be agreed with Fulham, Karanka is quoted by Gazette Live as saying: "I think so because we don't have problems [in that position] at the moment.
"He's another player who has a good future but I can't guarantee him games. It's better for him to be playing, but it's also important to us that he's playing for his development."
Husband joined Boro from Doncaster Rovers last summer, but has featured just three times for the Smoggies in the Championship.
