Millwall defender Alan Dunne has claimed that it would be the 'greatest ever escape' if the club survives in the Championship this season.
The Lions are four points adrift of safety with three games left to play following Saturday's goalless draw with Cardiff City.
Dunne has now challenged his teammates to put a run together and secure their status in the division for another year.
"Our run-in is difficult but we feel that we have a chance now," he told the club's official website. "We are scrapping for our lives so it is up to us to get the job done. We have put the pressure on other teams before and have shown that we can play under pressure.
"We've survived the last two years by the skin of our teeth, but if we do it this time it will be the greatest escape ever by the club."
Millwall continue their fight to stay in the Championship on Tuesday when they make the trip to Blackburn Rovers.
