John Marquis has signed a new one-year deal with Millwall, the Championship club have confirmed.
The 21-year-old has spent time on loan with both Torquay United and Portsmouth this season but claims that Millwall manager Ian Holloway has given him new hope over his future.
"My season really hasn't got going yet, although I got some game time and scored a few goals during my loan spells," Marquis told the club's official website.
"The new gaffer has shown real faith in me since he arrived, and now with my injury niggles behind me I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.
"It has really been exciting here since Ian Holloway came to the club, and the fact that he obviously believes in me is a real boost."
Marquis has been named in each of Holloway's three squads since the former Crystal Palace manager arrived at the club.
