Millwall manager Neil Harris has spoken of his delight at his side's performance against Port Vale this evening.
A late Lee Gregory penalty and a Mark Beevers header helped the Londoners see off a stubborn Vale team 2-0.
"It was tough to go again after Saturday but we carried that momentum on," Harris told Millwall's official Twitter. "It could've been 6-0 at half time.
"They handled us better in the second half but we managed to get those two goals.
"I'm delighted. There were some big performances out there and the team's display was outstanding. We worked hard on our defending during the break and that has paid dividends."
Millwall's next League One game is at home to Southend United on September 19.
