Brighton & Hove Albion manager Gus Poyet has described sitting at the top of the Championship table as "very nice".
Poyet saw his team move to the summit courtesy of a 2-1 win over Millwall this afternoon.
The Uruguayan was happy to come away with all three points against Millwall's 10 men after coming under serious pressure towards the end of the match.
"It's very nice to be top," said Poyet. "But when you start in this league you know how difficult every game is, you need to be on the bench watching that last 20 minutes, with my team defending like mad, to know how much you have to suffer to get three points.
"Something happened for the first time to us. We were controlling the game at 11 v 11 and then when it was 11 v 10, we lost it. We are supposed to know how to play against 10 men and we didn't do it today.
"The last 20 minutes was unbelievable, the pressure they put us under. So it was a great three points."
Brighton's next match comes against Birmingham in a week's time.
