Millwall boss Kenny Jackett has revealed that he wants to sign West Bromwich Albion's on-loan striker Chris Wood on a permanent basis.
The 21-year-old has scored eight goals in 16 starts for the Lions since joining on loan in September, but as it stands he will return to his parent club in the January transfer window.
"We like Chris - he has done very well for us. I think he has had two very good experienced partners alongside him in Darius Henderson and Andy Keogh," he told Sky Sports News.
"But he is a player we would definitely like to pursue once his loan expires. Would that be a permanent deal? Yes. We will have to see what January brings, but it is no secret that we like Chris and we would like to keep him here."
It is understood that Wood would cost in the region of £1m.
