Hearts have climbed above Celtic as goals from Gavin Reilly and Billy King gave them a 2-0 win over Motherwell at Tynecastle this evening.
Sam Nicholson curled an effort narrowly over the top of goal inside the opening stages, then combined with Osman Sow to carve out another chance that was diverted behind.
Louis Moult tested Neil Alexander from long range with Motherwell's first chance, but Hearts were soon ahead through Reilly.
The goal came from the penalty spot after Nicholson had been hauled down in the area, with Reilly cooling converting the spot kick for his first goal for the club.
Prince Buaben nodded a Nicholson cross inches wide before the break, and Louis Laing hacked a Callum Paterson header off the line just before the hour mark.
However, just as Motherwell were coming back into the game King doubled his side's lead with a low finish beyond the reach of Connor Ripley.
