Nantes and Bordeaux have played out a goalless draw in Ligue 1 on Saturday evening in an even game at Stade de la Beaujoire.
The home side went on the attack straight away and could have scored inside two minutes, but Alejandro Bedoya's shot from an angle whistled wide of the post.
Bordeaux's first chance fell to Nicolas Maurice-Belay, although he would have done well to get his shot from distance on target. As it was, it flew high over the bar.
The shooting continued to be wasteful and on the half-hour mark Henri Saivet was the next man guilty of missing the target with his attempt from the edge of the box.
Koffi Djidji had a chance for the hosts with a second-half header but failed to hit the target from just six yards out with the best opening of the game.
Nantes started to get on top as the half wore on, and with 15 minutes to go, Lucas Deaux met a Serge Gakpe but could only pick out Cedric Carrasso.
In the end neither side could create the golden chance needed and both had to settle for just a point.
