Sports Mole previews the Euro 2016 qualifying clash between the Netherlands and Lativa at the Amsterdam ArenA on Sunday.

The Netherlands will look to get their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign back on track when they face Latvia in their Group A clash at the Amsterdam ArenA.

Guus Hiddink's side are currently third in Group A as a result of losing two matches in their campaign to Iceland and the Czech Republic, which has left the former Chelsea boss under pressure.

The 68-year-old has even taken the step to offer to resign from his post should his team fail to beat Latvia in their encounter on Sunday.

Hiddink could be without defender Ron Vlaar, who was forced off after 24 minutes with a calf injury in his side's friendly defeat to Mexico on Wednesday. Stefan de Vrij is on standby to replace the Aston Villa centre-back in the team if he is unable to play.

PSV Eindhoven defender Karim Rekik has been called up into the squad to provide extra defensive cover on the bench following Vlaar's injury, while Bruno Martins Indi is also out due to illness.

Robin van Persie should provide Hiddink with a major injury boost after missing the defeat to Mexico with a "minor injury" and could replace Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to lead the line for the clash.

Latvia are just one point behind the Netherlands after taking two points from their three games in qualifying.

Marian Pahars's side will be without Gints Freimanis, who was sent off in their 1-1 draw with Turkey last time out in their qualifying campaign.

The two sides have met only once in a senior international match, with that game taking place in Euro 2004 as the Netherlands ran out 3-0 victors in their clash.
