Netherlands striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has admitted that it was a "dream come true" for him to fire his side into the quarter-finals of the World Cup.
The 30-year-old scored from the penalty spot in stoppage time in his side's 2-1 win over Mexico in the second round of the tournament, and he has revealed that he did his utmost to put the occasion out of his mind before taking the spot kick.
"I was trying to get my focus because everyone wanted to annoy me and get me to lose my focus," Huntelaar told FIFA.com.
"I was bouncing the ball to try to concentrate on what I had to do. I picked my corner and put the ball there. It went in. The feeling was incredible, a dream come true."
Louis van Gaal's side will now face Costa Rica in their last-eight clash later this week.
