Newcastle United's 1-0 Europa League victory at Metalist Kharkiv was reportedly marred by violence before and after the game.
One Magpies fan is said to have required hospital treatment after his group were ambushed at the Sportyvna Metro station on their way to the Metalist Stadium, Sky Sports News reports.
He made it to the game after receiving stitches and watched his team win thanks to Shola Ameobi's penalty, but there were reports of more trouble at the final whistle.
Several hundreds of home fans are alleged to have scaled fencing to clash with stewards on the other side.
The news comes just 24 hours after three Tottenham Hotspur fans received minor injuries after being assaulted by rival supporters in Lyon.
