Newcastle United winger Sylvain Marveaux is reportedly expected to return to fitness by September.
The 29-year-old suffered a setback in his career at St James' Park by picking up a groin injury in pre-season.
The Frenchman, who spent last season on loan at Guingamp, was forced to miss the Premier League club's tour in the United States to undergo surgery.
According to The Chronicle, Marveaux's recovery is going to plan and the winger could be available for head coach Steve McClaren in mid-to-late September.
The winger, who joined Newcastle from Rennes in 2011, made 24 appearances for Guingamp last season.
