Rafael Benitez has claimed that his Newcastle United team need to "improve on everything" following Monday night's defeat to Burnley.
The Magpies were beaten by a single goal at Turf Moor, which ended the club's three-game unbeaten run.
As a result, Benitez and his players stay on 14 points with four wins, two draws and four defeats, leaving them ninth.
"It was a game we were controlling and we knew that scoring one goal would win it. We made a mistake and we paid for it," BBC Sport quotes Benitez as saying.
"It was two teams who know what to do and little details could make the difference. We had nine attempts in the second half, we thought we could win the game. We were not precise on the ball and we have to improve.
"We know our strengths and our weaknesses. We have to improve on everything but I am happy with our work rate."
Next up for the Magpies is a home clash against Bournemouth at St James' Park.
