Jack Colback believes that Newcastle United should be aiming to break into the top eight of the Premier League next season.
The Magpies signed Colback on a free this summer and have also added Remy Cabella, Daryl Janmaat, Siem de Jong, Emmanuel Riviere and Ayoze Perez following last season's poor finish.
"There's a lot of quality coming in to add to the quality that's already here," Colback told the Newcastle Gazette.
"The club had a difficult end to last season, but we're really looking forward to this season, and pushing for good finish.
"We should be looking to break into the top eight."
Newcastle finished 10th in the Premier League last season after losing seven of their last eight matches.
