Newcastle United defender Paul Dummett believes that his side's recent results have given them a huge boost in confidence going into their Premier League match against Stoke City.
The Magpies have rallied from behind in their last two games to claim a point in their top-flight clash against Hull City as Papiss Cisse scored twice, while they also showed resiliency to advance to the fourth round of the Capital One Cup against Crystal Palace.
"For Papiss's confidence - confidence in him, and confidence in us as a whole - the goals and the result on Saturday shows that we can actually score goals as a team, so that will give us a massive confidence boost," Dummett told the club's official website.
"Then to win in the cup was great as we had to show real character and fighting spirit to get through that game. We were fighting for each other and got the result we wanted.
"Monday will be difficult. It's always very tough at Stoke and there are no easy games in the Premier League. We've got to go there and show our togetherness and our spirit again, and try and win the game."
Newcastle face Stoke at the Britannia Stadium on Monday.
