Newcastle United midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has conceded that his side dropped two valuable points in their 2-2 draw against Chelsea.
The Magpies held a 2-0 lead going into the final 10 minutes of the match as strikes from Ayoze Perez and the Dutchman put Steve McClaren's men on course for their first win of the season.
However, Ramires and Willian scored late goals to deny Newcastle at St James' Park as both sides took a point apiece from the match.
Wijnaldum told the club's official website: "It's a really good result but I can't be too happy about it because I think it's two points dropped. If you compare the first half to the second, we dropped off a lot - maybe too much - and we forgot to play football.
"We dominated the first half because we were not scared to play football or put pressure on Chelsea. However, in the second half we didn't do it and gave them the chance to come back into it.
"I'm really sad about the result because if we had just played like the first half, I think we would have won."
Newcastle are 19th in the Premier League following their draw against the Blues.
