Newcastle United striker Demba Ba is reportedly on course to sign a new contract at St James's Park, despite rumours of a possible exit.
The 27-year-old was linked with a January move away from the Magpies following a dispute over wage negotiations and it has been claimed that the Senegal international may trigger his release clause.
Despite these reports, it is understood that Ba has not rejected an offer from Newcastle and is continuing discussions with the North East outfit, according to Sky Sports News.
Ba moved to the Premier League club from West Ham United last year.
