French right-back Mathieu Debuchy has passed his medical at St James' Park, according to the Daily Mail.
It was reported this morning that Debuchy was to undergo a medical at Newcastle United, with the newspaper now claiming that he has passed.
Debuchy was strongly linked with a move to the club in the summer and it now looks as though he has finally made the switch.
The fee Newcastle are to pay Lille is reportedly £5.5m.
