Newcastle United are reportedly very confident of staving off French interest in star midfielder Yohan Cabaye this summer.
The 27-year-old is the subject of intense speculation linking him with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
However, Cabaye has three years remaining on his current contract, which puts the Magpies in a very strong position.
According to the Evening Chronicle, sources close to director of football Joe Kinnear claim that Cabaye will only depart St James' Park if the club receive an "astronomical" offer.
Cabaye, who joined Newcastle in a £4.8m move from Lille in July 2011, started 25 Premier League games last season, scoring six goals.
