Feyenoord have reportedly rejected an offer from Newcastle United for forward Nicolai Jorgensen.
Despite their ongoing takeover saga, Newcastle are active during the January transfer window with Kenedy having already been signed on loan from Chelsea.
Manager Rafael Benitez is keen to increase his options in attack, and Danish international Jorgensen has been identified as a possible signing.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Newcastle will not be successful with a bid of £16m, with the Dutch club prepared to hold out for £20m.
The transfer could potentially be part-funded by the sale of Aleksandar Mitrovic, who is interesting Brighton & Hove Albion, but the Magpies will not give the Serbian permission to leave St James' Park until a replacement has been found.
Jorgensen has scored nine goals in 18 appearances in the Eredivisie and the Champions League this season.
