Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has already begun looking to the summer transfer window, despite the winter market closing only a week ago.
The Magpies reinforced last month with the signings of French stars Mathieu Debuchy, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Yoan Gouffran, Moussa Sissoko and Massadio Haidara.
"We need to strengthen the underbelly of this football club and we need to do that this summer, probably," BBC Sport quotes Pardew as saying.
"If we can do that, then we are going to be well set for next year because we have got some very good players on our books now."
The North-East club currently sit six points away from the relegation zone in the Premier League table.
