Kieron Dyer has announced his retirement from football following a 17-year career in the game.
The 34-year-old had been expected to hang up his boots after he was released by Middlesbrough.
"I'm done now, I'm content and that's it," Dyer told twtd.co.uk. "I don't want to move away any more, I just want to spend quality time with my kids."
Dyer, who had spells at Queens Park Rangers, Newcastle United, Ipswich Town and West Ham United, is believed to be keen on taking up coaching.
