Former Manchester United assistant coach Mike Phelan has revealed that he is eager to return to the dugout sooner rather than later.
The 50-year-old left the Premier League champions in the summer after being Sir Alex Ferguson's assistant since 2008.
Phelan, who also spent five years as a player at Old Trafford in the 1990s, is now keen to get back in the game.
"Obviously I hope that opportunities will come along, it's all about being in the right place at the right time, we shall see," he told Sky Sports News.
"Christmas is coming and a lot of things happen over that festive period, I may enjoy a Christmas at home for a change.
"Looking forward, I've got a lot to offer football so we'll wait and see."
Phelan won three Premier League titles and two League Cups during his time as United's assistant coach.
