Joseph Yobo claims that Nigeria are happy to avoid any attention heading into the World Cup.

Joseph Yobo has claimed that Nigeria are happy to head into the World Cup without much attention on them.

The African champions will face Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iran in Group F, and Yobo is hopeful that they will continue to be considered underdogs as they bid to progress in the tournament.

"I think when the tournament begins you will see the real Nigerian team," the 33-year-old, who will be competing in his third World Cup, told reporters.

"We are happy to see people talk about other nations rather than ourselves."

Nigeria begin their campaign against Iran on June 16.
