Northampton Town have confirmed that defender Ben Tozer will miss at least a month with a knee injury.
The 24-year-old suffered the problem during a training session last week.
Tozer has made 26 appearances in all competitions for Northampton so far this season.
"We've had Ben's injury assessed and it looks like he is going to be out for a month or more," manager Chris Wilder told the club's official website.
"It's a meniscus injury and we will need to see if he needs an operation or just to rest. It's a blow for Ben and it's a blow for us because he covers a number of different positions."
Northampton are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Shrewsbury Town in League Two.
