Northampton Town have confirmed the signing of defender Tom Newey until the end of the season.
The 32-year-old joins the League Two outfit following his release by Oxford United.
Newey spent the early part of the season on loan at Northampton, making three appearances for the Cobblers.
"I thought he was outstanding when he came here," manager Chris Wilder told the club's official website. "Tom's a good player. it was a great opportunity to get him in and I'm sure he'll have a decent career here with us."
Northampton are also trying to sign Portsmouth midfielder Ricky Holmes on a permanent deal.
