Norwich City centre-forward Luciano Becchio has conceded that he has found it hard to adapt to life at Carrow Road.
The Argentine joined the Canaries in January from Championship side Leeds United, but he struggled to claim a regular place in the starting lineup and failed to find the net during his eight outings.
"It was difficult for me when I first came to Norwich. It was halfway through the season and I had to get used to a new team and new players. I was on the bench a lot and that was difficult," he told the Eastern Daily Press.
Becchio did manage to open his account yesterday during the 3-0 pre-season win over Mexican side Dorados. Having got among the goals, the 29-year-old has turned his attention to having more of an impact in the Premier League.
"Of course I am happy to score my first goal for Norwich but it is pre-season, no? I want to score in the league and I want to keep playing in the league," he added.
"I played the 90 minutes as well and that was hard for the first game but you just need to keep going and that is what it is all about in pre-season."
Becchio scored 20 goals in all competitions last season for Leeds prior to his switch to Norwich.
