Norwich City striker Grant Holt has played down reports suggesting that he could be in line for an England call-up after his recent good form.
Holt, 30, scored his 13th league goal of the season during the Canaries' 2-2 draw with Everton on Saturday, making him the second highest-scoring Englishman this season, only behind Wayne Rooney.
However, despite there being no clear replacement for the suspended Rooney in the opening two games of the European Championships, Holt is not thinking about a summer trip to Poland and Ukraine just yet.
"They've been looking for a while but they might as well keeping looking and see what happens," said Holt.
"We will see who gets the job and we'll worry about that when it comes."
Holt is likely to face his sternest challenge for the England shirt from Chelsea's Daniel Sturridge, who has netted ten league goals this season.
