New Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has hailed the team spirit at the club.

The Canaries have seen a vast improvement in recent years, sealing consecutive promotions to take them from League One to the Premier League before finishing their first season in the top flight in mid table.

Hughton believes that this has created a feel-good factor at the club, and is keen to avoid wholesale change in case the team spirit is disrupted.

"It is an exciting challenge," said Hughton. "When I took the job, there was a genuine feel-good factor at the club, and that is no surprise because of last season.

"Now, it is my responsibility to sustain as much as I can. What I have got here is a team who have done well, and have a good team spirit.

"While wanting to improve the squad, what I have also to be very conscious of is there is a lot of good here and you don't want to remove too much of that."

Norwich will begin their new Premier League campaign away to Fulham on August 18.
