New Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has revealed that he can't wait to get started at Carrow Road after being appointed as the Canaries' new manager.
The former Newcastle United boss was confirmed as the Premier League's new coach today following the exit of Paul Lambert.
"It's a good feeling," Hughton said in a press conference. "It's something that I've been very excited about and something that materialised over the last few days. I'm looking forward to the challenge in front of me.
"It was difficult [to leave Birmingham]. I had a very good year there - the supporters have been excellent with me. It's a wonderful club and I'm very grateful for them to give me the opportunity to speak to Norwich.
"We have had conversations [about transfers] but the bigger conversations will start after we get through today. There will be a budget to work with but that's probably not the most important thing right now."
Hughton also claimed that he wants to keep star striker Grant Holt at the club but admitted that he has yet to speak to the prolific frontman.
