Paul Lambert was full of praise for his Norwich City side following their 2-1 home loss to Manchester United earlier today.
The Canaries looked to be heading for a share of the spoils at Carrow Road when captain Grant Holt fired them level in the final few minutes.
However, United's Ryan Giggs scored in the final minute of stoppage time to keep his side's title charge on track.
"We were excellent but that's what happens against United," Lambert told BBC Sport. "They've done that for years and years. We were running on empty at the end but we put in a massive effort.
"There is nothing to be ashamed of. We gave a really good account of ourselves."
Norwich remain eighth in the Premier League table.
