Norwich City left-back Martin Olsson has been hit with a three-game ban by the Football Association for pushing a referee.
The 26-year-old shoved Simon Hooper after being shown a second yellow card during the opening-weekend fixture at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He served a one-game ban over the weekend for the initial red card, but has now been suspended for three further matches after accepting an FA charge of improper conduct.
An FA statement read: "The charge was that Olsson's action in making physical contact with the referee immediately prior to being shown a red card and for his behaviour as he left the field of play amounted to improper conduct, which occurred outside the jurisdiction of the match officials."
Olsson's suspension will rule him out of the upcoming league games against Blackburn Rovers and Ipswich Town and the second-round Capital One Cup tie against Crawley Town.
