Andrew Surman has called on his Norwich City teammates to remain grounded despite their good start to the season.
The Canaries are currently ninth in the Premier League table, having collected 21 points from their opening 17 matches.
Midfielder Surman is happy with the club's start but doesn't want people to get carried away.
"It's been a great time for the club. The last two seasons have been incredible. We've had a great start," said the 25-year-old. "[But] I've said all along you can't get too carried away. Look at the start Blackpool had last season and they ended up getting relegated.
"If we can be in this position at the end of the season, it will be great. There have been other teams that have come up and started well and then slipped away.
"It is about consistently picking up points. We've had a great start but it is going to mean nothing if we get relegated."
Surman scored as Norwich drew 2-2 at Wolverhampton Wanderers last night.
