Michael Turner has given Norwich City a boost by returning from injury for the club's reserves.
The 30-year-old defender has been out of action for most of 2014 due to a hamstring problem.
However, Turner moved closer to his first-team comeback on Tuesday night by featuring for the Canaries' Under-21 side against Chartlon Athletic.
"It felt really good to be back playing. I trained last week and again this week a couple of times before Tuesday, but it's nice to be back in a game situation," he told the club's official website.
Norwich continue their battle for Premier League survival on Saturday when they play host to fellow strugglers Sunderland.
