Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has insisted that he is "delighted" that the club have secured a new deal with captain Sebastien Bassong.
The defender has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Canaries following his arrival at Carrow Road from Tottenham Hotspur last summer.
"We're delighted that we've had the opportunity to extend Seb's contract – somebody who has been an integral part of everything we've done so far and of course our player of the season last year," Hughton told the club's official website.
The news comes ahead of Norwich's Premier League clash against Swansea City on Sunday.
