Norwich City have announced that captain Sebastien Bassong has put pen to paper on a new contract at Carrow Road.
The 27-year-old has been tied down to the club under the leadership of manager Chris Hughton until the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
"I'm really pleased it is something I have been looking forward to doing, as being team captain I think it is something really important to commit myself even more to the club," Bassong told the club's official website.
"I had a little bad time with my fitness, as people know I missed pre-season and I had a knee injury and an operation, so I needed time to get back to my best and while I wasn't playing I was working hard on my fitness, so now I feel better and am back on track."
Bassong has made 47 appearances and netted three goals for the Canaries since joining the club last year from Tottenham Hotspur.
