Norwich City striker Grant Holt has emerged as a reported transfer target for Sunderland.
The 31-year-old handed in a transfer request at Carrow Road yesterday afternoon, which was subsequently rejected by the club.
However, speculation has claimed that the former Shrewsbury Town centre-forward will still attempt to force through an exit.
That news has alerted Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill, who is keen to bolster his attacking options during the summer, according to the Daily Mail.
Aston Villa are also said to be admirers of Holt's ability.
