Norwich City midfielder Alexander Tettey has claimed that a Premier League club made an approach for his services earlier this summer.
However, the Norwegian has further revealed that the Canaries turned down the offer.
"The club rejected an offer from a Premier League club, but I cannot say which club it was," he told VG.
Tettey's agent, Bjorn Tore Kvarme, has also backed up his client's revelation and believes that Norwich are keen to keep hold of the 28-year-old to bolster their chances of promotion.
"All I can say is that a Premier League club wanted an exchange, but Norwich said no," added Kvarme. "They want to keep him, so he can help them get back to the Premier League again. He's got a contract until June 2015. Then, there is not much to do."
Tettey joined Norwich from Ligue 1 side Rennes in 2012.
