Nottingham Forest striker Simon Cox has said that he is relishing the task of playing against Premier League opposition in the form of West Ham United.

The two teams meet at the City Ground in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday.

The Republic of Ireland international said that he is desperate to get on the scoresheet, although he is aware of the size of the task that awaits the Tricky Trees.

"It's going to be a tough task but if we get to the Premier League next season we'll be going up against this sort of team week in, week out, which obviously is what we want to be doing," Eurosport quotes the 26-year-old as saying.

"You don't necessarily like to play sides from your own league because it can feel like any other game, but this is a match everyone is looking forward to. It'll be a good test for us.

"It would be nice to score against West Ham because they're a Premier League team, but a goal is a goal no matter who it's against."

The former West Bromwich Albion frontman has scored five goals in 16 games in the Championship this season.
