Nottingham Forest manager Sean O'Driscoll speaks of his happiness at securing a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace last night.

Nottingham Forest manager Sean O'Driscoll was "delighted" that his 10-man side were able to secure a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last night.

The Eagles were already a goal ahead - thanks to Kagisho Dikgacoi - when Adlene Guedioura was shown a straight red card for kicking out at Mile Jedinak in the 63rd minute.

However, Dexter Blackstock levelled the scores eight minutes from time with a poacher's finish from close range, following good work by Simon Cox.

While O'Driscoll was very happy with the result, he was far from impressed by his team's performance.

"It was a display of how poor we can play, I suppose," he said. "We have not played that poorly since the start of the season.

"I am delighted with the point. There is a great deal of resilience in the team and that comes with being unbeaten so far this season."

On Guedioura's sending off, he added: "It was petulant. In this day and age you give the referee an opportunity to send you off and some referees will take it, some will speak to him and let them get on with it.

"This referee chose to send him off so I can't really complain about it. I'd like it not to have happened but in a strange sort of way, it gave us a bit of a spark that kicked us on."

Forest, who have taken 10 points from six matches this term, currently sit sixth in the Championship table.
