Bournemouth's impressive start to the season comes to an end as Nottingham Forest come from behind to win 2-1 at Dean Court.

Nottingham Forest have ended Bournemouth's impressive start to the season after coming from behind to beat their Championship rivals 2-1 on Tuesday night.

The hosts looked threatening in the early stages of the match, with Karl Darlow forced into action when Adam Smith threatened to break the deadlock from a tight angle.

Bournemouth would come even closer to an opening goal just a few minutes later when Matt Ritchie's free kick struck the post before bouncing to safety.

Junior Stanislas was proving to be a big threat to the Forest defence, and his creativity almost produced the first goal when Richie collected an inch-perfect pass before seeing an effort blocked by Darlow.

Despite being on the back foot for long spells of the first half, Forest could have been ahead just before the break, but Britt Assombalonga could only head over following good work from Michail Antonio.

Darlow's fine form was brought to an abrupt end in the 58th minute as the Forest goalkeeper failed to deal with a high ball into the box, with Callum Wilson eventually taking advantage by tapping the ball home from just a few yards out.

However, the lead lasted less than 10 minutes as Assombalonga continued his fine start to the season by heading home Andy Reid's free kick.

The drama continued in the 72nd minute as Forest shocked Dean Court by taking the lead through Matty Fryatt, who arrived late in the box to head home Jack Hunt's cross at the back post.

Bournemouth struggled to find a response in the closing stages of the match, and Forest were able to hold on to secure top spot in the Championship.
