Matt Derbyshire struck in the 84th minute to earn Nottingham Forest a 2-1 win over Leeds United in their Championship clash at the City Ground.
Forest started brightly and could have taken the lead when the ball was played to Jamie Mackie inside the penalty area, but he could only fire wide of the target.
However, they did go ahead minutes later as Andy Reid lifted a free kick into the area from 40 yards out to the back post where Greg Halford rose highest and headed the ball past Kenny from close range.
It was almost 2-0 minutes later as Reid himself jinked inside the penalty area and fired a shot at goal, but it went just over the bar with Kenny scrambling.
After the break, Forest came close to a second when Djamel Abdoun fired an effort from distance which looked to be heading for the back of the net, but Kenny managed to beat the ball away with a great save.
Leeds had a good chance to get level after a ball was lifted into the box and Matt Smith won the header and knocked it into the path of youngster Gboly Ariyibi, but he could only fire wide.
Brian McDermott's side did get their leveller when Sam Byram raced onto a throw ball and fired at goal. His effort was cleared off the line, but the clearance hit Forest keeper Karl Darlow and rebounded into the path of Ross McCormack, who powered the ball into the net.
However, just seconds later Billy Davies's side regained the lead as Derbyshire picked up the ball on the edge of the area and fired a shot into the top corner to secure the victory for his side.
