Nottingham Forest are reportedly eager to cash in on two of their backup squad members as soon as possible.
Having avoided relegation from the Premier League in 2023-24 and successfully moved to the right side of the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules, Forest are now attempting to form a balanced squad.
With there having been three incomings and four outgoings, the East Midlands outfit are on their way to achieving that goal before the start of the new campaign.
However, with Nuno Espirito Santo and the club's recruitment team eager to make further additions, there is a slight urgency over getting unwanted players off their books.
As per The Athletic, there are at least two specific players who club officials are prepared to sell in August.
Defender, forward on transfer list
Long-serving centre-back Joe Worrall is likely to depart at some point, whether that be on a permanent or temporary basis.
Worrall has been with Forest for over a decade, making a total of 226 appearances in all competitions, but he spent the second half of last season on loan at Besiktas.
A full-time switch to the Turkish giants did not come to fruition with just six starts and three substitute outings coming in all competitions.
With Nikola Milenkovic having joined from Fiorentina, Nuno has four centre-backs at his disposal, with Murillo, Willy Boly and Andrew Omobamidele also providing competition for places.
As it stands, though, Forest have reportedly received no acceptable proposals for the 27-year-old.
Dennis remains on transfer list
Emmanuel Dennis is another player who features towards the top of Forest's transfer list having spent last season away from the City Ground.
After failing to score in eight outings for Istanbul Basaksehir, the forward netted just four times from 17 appearances in the Championship with former club Watford.
Having also only chipped in with two goals and three assists from 25 outings in a Forest shirt, there are no plans to reintegrate the Nigeria international back into the first-team squad.
Like with Worrall, Forest are yet to receive any notable bids for a player who cost £10m less than two years ago. body check tags ::
