Bayern Munich have been held to a 1-1 draw by Nuremberg away from home in the Bundesliga.
The Bavarian giants were in control of the game right from the start and went ahead in the third minute.
Toni Kroos whipped in a cross for Mario Mandzukic to shoot home from close range.
Timo Gebhart could have equalised for Nuremberg in the 20th minute, but he failed to put his shot from outside the Bayern area on target.
Six minutes later Xherdan Shaqiri fired at the hosts' goal from outside the 18-yard box, but was denied by Raphael Schafer.
Schafer then denied Rafinha in the 35th minute, before Shaqiri shot over the Nuremberg crossbar.
The home side's goalkeeper was called into action on the stroke of half-time when Kroos headed Shaqiri's cross towards goal.
Nuremberg restored parity moments after the restart when Markus Feulner fired in past Manuel Neuer from outside the box.
Sebastian Polter almost made it 2-1 to the hosts midway through the second half when he headed Hiroshi Kiyotake's cross towards the Bayern goal, but Neuer was up to the challenge.
A minute later Kiyotake again floated in an inviting cross that Per Nilsson headed just wide.
Things looked bad for the home side when Timo Gebhart was sent off for a second bookable offence on 76 minutes, but they held on for a 1-1 draw.
